Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school. I would like to show you a few of the questions our students asked us about Japan. Many things are new to them and they have lots of questions about those new things around them.

Question 1: Why don’t people drive instead of taking trains?
Answer 1: It usually takes a long time to drive to the office bacause of the constant traffic congestion and there are almost no parking spaces available for employees in big cities.

Question 2: Why are sumo wrestlers so fat? Do they have a special diet?
Answer 2: They often eat special dish calledd chanko-nabe, which consists of kinds of nutritious food cooked together in a soup. Another secret of their quick weight-gain diet is to eat large amounts of food less often, unlike birds that frequently eat small protions.
