Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school.
NILS students have a summer vacation from July 21 to August 21 this year. What do they do during this 1 month holiday? Many students work part time during the holiday. They are usually allowed to work part time for not exceeding 28 hours a week during the semester. However, they can work for up to 8 hours a day during the holidays. They make money for college tuitions, living expenses and other personal use like travel around Japan, etc. A few students go back to their countries to see their family and friends, but we hope they will keep learning Japanese language in order not to forget what they have learned even though they are in their home contries. Many students review what they learned in class for the last three months during the holiday, we believe. We hope they will use Japanese much, much better than now when we see them on August 22.
