Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school. One of the summer features in Japan is the National High School Baseball Tournament, known as “Natsu no Koshien 夏の甲子園.” It is an annual nationwide high school baseball tournament. It is, I believe, that the largest scale amateur sports event in Japan.
The 49 schools, regional champions of each of the prefectures (two from Tokyo and Hokkaido), join this tournament. This big tournament will be held for two weeks starting on August 8 this year. Iizuka High School won the regional tournament of Fukuoka Prefecture, and will have the first round game on the first day of the tournament. We hope they will win the the game and go on to the second round!
