Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school.
Houjouya 放生会, one of the three largest festivals in Fukuoka City started yesterday on September 12. It is held until September 18 at Hakozaki Shrine in Higashi-ku.
We thank the gods for food from the seas and the mountains and we also pray for prosperity in business and safe driving during the Houjouya Festival.
You can also enjoy more than 700 stalls standing side by side on the street! Many people visit the festival every year and have a great time there. I believe some of our students will visit Hakozaki Shrine this weekend!
