Let’s learn Japanese language: Lesson 16-(3)

Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school.
[V1 て-form から、 V2]
This sentence pattern indicates that upon completion of the action denoted by V1, the action of V2 is to be conducted. The tense of the sentence is determined by the tense from of the last verb in the sentence.

(Example)
国へ 帰ってから、 父の 会社で 働きます。
I will work for my father’s company after going back to my country.
コンサートが 終わってから、 レストランで 食事しました。
We ate at a restaurant after the concert was over.

Note that the subject of a subordinate clause is indicated by が, as shown in the second example above.
