Japanese Nobel Prize Winners #5

Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school. Today’s topic is Japanese Nobel Prize Winners.
[Tanaka Koichi 田中耕一/Chemistry, 2002]
Researcher at the laboratory of a private company. Tanaka’s research was on the spectrometric analyses of biological macromolecules. He discovered a method of ionizing macromolecules such as proteins without destroying their structure by using laser energy.

[Nambu Yoichiro 南部陽一郎/Physics, 2008]
Physicist. Nambu is a leeading scientist in the development of modern particle physics. He discovered the mechanism of spontaneous broken symmetry in subatomic physics. Nambu acquired U.S. citizenship in 1970.
