NILS students learning Japanese language in the short term program enjoyed walking around Momochi Seaside Park and a great panoramic view from Fukuoka Tower. Here are their voice on the school activity.
We visited Momochi Seaside Park on Wednesday, and we were able to go up Fukuoka Tower. The view was amazing and there were many adorable activities to try on different floors. For example, there were locks you could buy and write your lover’s name and your own name and then lock onto the “Lovers Sanctuary”. There was also same “trick art” that made us look like we were falling through a hole in the tower! After we finished seeing the tower, we went to robot square and we were able to converse with the robots! I even got to talk with Hello Kitty robot! It was kind of a strange experience, but very interesting! —Cami-san, from U.S.
Although I had already been to Fukuoka tower by myself, it was fun to go again. This time the weather was cloudy but actually seeing the low clouds move in over the city was quite impressive! I think the other students were more focused on buying Omiyage from the vending machines and trying padlocks to the lovers corner! After we visited the tower we went to a nearby robot exhibition where I got to play with an Aibo which was great. I want one! Might be a bit expensive though… I found out they have segways there to try twice a month – so I’ll definitely be back there! —Adam-san, from U.K.
