We joined the school festival of our group school, Hitotsuba High School yesterday. Lots of people in the community visited the festival. Performances elaborately prepared by Hitotsuba students were definitely great! All of the visitors including us had a great time there.
We also served Chinese dumplings at the festival. This year, we prepare three kinds of special sauce for dumplings: Garlic based sauce, spicy sauce, and ponzu (Japanese sauce made primarily of soy sauce and citrus juice). Spicy one is so hot, but many visitors and students tried that hot spicy sauce! I couldn’t try, though.
It was a great experience to communicate with high school students and local people there.
