Hanami “花見” is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of cherry blossoms “桜[sakura].” You can enjoy sakura from the end of March to the beginning of April here in Fukuoka. In modern-day Japan, hanami mostly consists of having an outdoor party beneath the sakura during daytime or at night.
