Have you heard “Shochuuomimai moushiagemasu”?
This is a common summer greeting in Japan. Between the end of the rainy season and the beginning of August, Japanese people exchange cards to inquire the health of their family and friends.
They also share what’s going on in their lives.
These cards are meant to convey the best wishes for the recipient’s health during the hottest months.
For senior citizens or your boss, please write “Shochuuoukagai moushiagemasu”.
Also, this is past the “Risshu” which is technically the beginning of autumn, so use “Zanshoomimai moushiagemasu” instead.
It’s special to send cards in this time of SNS.
Please send these postcards when you have a chance.
