Cooking [お好み焼き]

Students in short term program enjoyed cooking “Okonomiyaki,” the Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients. The name is derived from okonomi meaning “what you like” or “what you want,” and yaki meaning “grilled” or “cooked.” Toppings and batters tend to vary according to the region. The batter is made of flour, grated yam, water, eggs, and shredded cabbage, and usually contains other ingredients such as green onion, meat (usually pork or bacon), octopus, shrimp, squid, etc.
You can enjoy Okonomiyaki anywhere in Japan, so hope you can try it when you come to Japan!
