We regularly invite local police officers for our new students. They talk about safety issues in Japan, especially for traffic accidents and crimes they might face during their stay in Japn. We set the lecture day about a month later from when they come to Japan so that they have time to get used to Japanese language. The police men not only talked about the issues but also showed self-diffence skills which mainly are needed for ladies. The last one was quite useful for female students for avoiding some crimes.
