Nature in Fukuoka City: A Place Where Urban and Natural Environments Harmonize

Fukuoka City, the central city of the Kyushu region, is a charming place where urban convenience and rich nature coexist. With its diverse natural environments including the sea, mountains, and parks, it offers both residents and tourists plenty of relaxation and enjoyment.  Here, we will introduce the natural attractions of Fukuoka City in detail.

1. Ohori Park

Ohori Park is located in the center of Fukuoka City and is beloved as a place of relaxation for its citizens. This park was originally the outer moat of Fukuoka Castle, but it has now developed into a park with a beautiful pond and vast green spaces. Around the pond, there are jogging and walking paths where you can enjoy seasonal landscapes. Particularly in spring, the park becomes a popular spot for Hanami (cherry blossom viewing). Additionally, the park houses cafes and an art museum, making it a place you can enjoy all day. I often have tea with friends and read books at the café in the park. The abundance of greenery makes it very relaxing.
