Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school. Today, we would like to show you how to call each meal in Japanese.
In English, breakfast is always breakfast, and there is no other word that can take its place. In Japanese, however, there are at least three words meaning the same thing:

[Breakfast] asa-gohan 朝ごはん／asameshi 朝飯／choshoku 朝食
[Lunch] hiru-gohan 昼ごはん／hirumeshi 昼飯／chushoku 昼食
[Dinner] ban-gohan 晩ごはん／yu-gohan 夕ごはん／yuhan 夕飯／banmeshi 晩飯／yumeshi 夕飯／yushoku 夕食
