Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school. Today we would like to talk about “manga 漫画.”
Manga in Japanese includes cartoons, four-flame comic strips adn comic-book stories. The beginning was a series of caricatural cartoons in daily newspapers and four-flame strips. After World War II, comics with a story line like a novel began to appear. Today a tremendous numbers of comic magazines and books are published. Manga are popular entertainment for all ages. The pictures in comic-book strories proceed from right to left in the same way as Japanese writing.
The Kyoto International Manga Musuem attracts Manga fans from all over the world. If you have a chance to visit Japan, it will be a lot of fun for Manga fans!
