Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school. New students are arriving in Japan now for the April session, and many of them are surprised to hear that the Japanese have been usuing the world’s most advanced toilets, shower toilets, for over 20 years. These toilets allow you to wash yourself with water of a comfortable temprature, and to dry yourself with breezy air. Some can even take your blood pressure and do a urine analysis while you are sitting on them. One the other hand, many public bathrooms still have traditional Japanese toilets which may confuse foreigners, who wonder which direction they should face when using them.
