Starting new life in Japan

Hello, I am Yoshi from NILS Japanese language school. New students have a lot of things to do after their arrival in Japan. We would like to introduce one of them to you today: Alien Registration.
Foreign nathonals who reside in Japan for 90 days or more are required to apply for an alien registration card at the city hall for the area where they reside. Upon submission of an aliean registration application, a card called “Gaikokujin Torokusho 外国人登録証(がいこくじんとうろくしょう)” will be issed to the applicant. Non-Japanese residents are required to carry the card all times by law.
Our new students already applied for it, and they will receive the cards within a few weeks. The alien registration card is required to open a bank account, to get a mobile phone, etc.
